Lihtsamalt öeldes on vinüülplaadid pöörlevad plaadid, mida kasutatakse muusika salvestamiseks. Alates 2017. aastast on maailmas vaid 48 tehast, seega peetakse vinüülplaate tänapäeval väärtuslikuks antiikesemeks.
