Eleven academics and independent scholars from the U.S., Canada, and England contribute 13 papers forming a collective statement about the emerging approach in educational theory, the concept of relational pedagogy. The text opens with the "Manifesto of Relations" presenting a number of claims about educational theory, relationality, and the pedagogy of relations followed by sections on the theoretical grounds for a new approach, positioning it among the existing conversations; democratic engagement; and the epistemological and curricular implications of the new approach.
