Researchers in learning, Chemi, Jensen, and Hersted describe the phenomenon of creativity by means of artists' recollections, retrospective narratives, conceptualizations, ideas, processes, and relationships. They spoke with full-time professional artists who had made an original contribution to the domain in which they operated, who were broadly recognized as artists, and who had shown a clear interest in meta-reflection and artistic conceptualizations. Among their topics are artists defining creativity, artistic emotions and ways of thinking, creativity and ways of building knowledge and skills, perspectives for learning in educational settings, collaboration in artistic teamwork, and organizing creative work.
