The author examines the increasing politicization of Mumsnet, a UK parenting website, including its use by politicians to influence middle-class women in the UK, how users discuss politics on the site, and the growing discussion of feminism. She contends that the feminist forums of the site allowed gender-critical women, who had been alienated from the dominant public sphere, to form an alternative public sphere, as well as express their frustrations with politicians and the media. She discusses women and political debate, how politicians engage with users on the site, debate on the issue of transgender rights and gender on the site, feminism on it, and how it is a safe place for the discussion of gender-critical feminist views.
